Bystronic Austria GmbH is a service and sales company of the globally active Bystronic Group. As such, we support and advise companies in the areas of laser cutting, bending, and automation, as well as in software solutions for the transparent presentation of production processes.
At the end of the 1990s, the Bystronic Group set itself the goal of becoming increasingly active in important markets worldwide with its own national companies. This was the starting signal for the founding of Bystronic Austria GmbH in 2000. At that time, the city of Linz in the center of Austria was chosen as the strategic location. In 2018, the location was moved to nearby Pasching for reasons of space. Austria and Slovenia are serviced from here.

The name Bystronic first appeared in 1964, when Bystronic Maschinen AG was founded in Bützberg. The company specialized in glass processing. The company’s name is a combination of the names of its three founders Byland, Schneider, and Trösch.
